the Sisyphus Sophistry
video projection 2 min. 40 sec.

As punishment for the gods, Sisyphus must push a boulder to the top of the mountain. When the boulder reaches the top of the mountain, it will fall back to the foot of the mountain, so Sisyphus pushes it repeatedly every day.
As a tragic figure in Greek mythology, he seems to map everyone‘s daily life. If we use „one day“ as the unit of calculation, we don‘t seem to repeat many actions in unit time. So what if it is „one week“, „one month“ or „one year“?
Whether you repeatedly travel to and from two places in a unit of time, whether in any form. Do you meet the same people at the same lunch during the unit time? If the subject / dominant of each repetitive movement is not „tragic“, can it be assumed that in the repetitive movement of Sisyphus, the boulder is not so heavy, each repetition is a new attempt. In the new attempts, each time is full of new expectations.
If „endlessness“ becomes the goal, what is the significance of the whole movement?
We are all Sisyphus and we push the boulder.
