(installation—treasures collection from Baltic Sea)
The wooden boat as a symbol of victory that Theseus returned to sail after killing the monster Minotaurs, docked in Athens for many years. Time flies, the components of the wooden boats were gradually replaced due to years of disrepair. In the end, when all the components of the ship have been replaced, is this ship in front of you still the original one?
Imagine our Nature which we live in is the same subject as the wooden boat in this story. What would be the components of our Nature? Are they air, land, water, trees, and wind?
I tried to collected the treasures on the Baltic coast and compare them to the components in our nature. It‘s a very interesting experiment to observe their changing. Will they still exactly stay the same as they were collected after many years later? I decided to preserve their features by exposure and developing them on photo paper in a darkroom as soon as possible after they were collected. Perhaps after years or decades, they may become completely different.
How about our human beings?
